usually after the holiday madness, i am reluctant to shoot/post. i am very limited in the sessions that I accept and being completely honest, i am exhausted. in the month of november - i think i delivered over 75 sessions, not including preschools/wedding galleries. so when january/february comes, i am in FULL hibernation mode, getting ready to do it all again for spring madness.
BUT sessions like the flores family session remind me how much i do love shooting in january. local spots that used to be photographer hot spots are DEAD, the sun setting behind bare trees makes it look like the sky is on fire.
kariny reached out to me for a birthday session for her oldest daughter, alyssa’s 10th birthday. she wanted to recreate some images that alyssa had taken on her first birthday. i am actually waiting to share those in a separate blog post, because they are so freaking precious. once we finished with the recreation images, we moved onto the family images. and man - i know it’s only february - but i can tell this session is going to be a favorite this year.
