Aslynn + Alec are married at Stoney Ridge Villa // Azle, Tx

It’s been a hot minute y’all.

This was my first time shooting at Stoney Ridge, and I was just amazed at this incredible venue. The attention to detail in the architecture was mind blowing, and I can’t believe it’s just a skip/hop away in Azle. When I left the wedding, I called my husband and said “If we were getting married again, Stoney Ridge would be at the top of my venue list”. I loved it THAT much.

Ashlynn and Alec’s vision for their day was so thought out and executed so perfectly. I loved the stunning florals provided by Sweet Peach, and the way they popped against the black attire.

Enjoy these beautiful images of an even more beautiful couple.

xoxo

How did you two meet?
We met through a mutual friend and we clicked instantly.

Tell us about your proposal! When, where, how?
Alec took me to Tulum on vacation and surprised me with a beachside proposal.

How many guests did you have at your wedding?
We had about 170 people at our wedding.

Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?
I got my dress at a little bridal boutique in Lewisville, I instantly knew it was the one. Made me feel so beautiful.

Why did you pick the venues that you chose?
My sister actually found our venue and once I saw it I knew it was the place. Gave us the destination wedding vibes without being far from our family and friends so they could be there to attend.

What song did you walk down the aisle to?
I get to love you

What song played for your first dance?
Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and our last dance was Steal My Love by Dan and Shay (both favs)

What inspired your wedding décor? Did you have a theme in mind?
The venue was the "theme" - the architecture, history, the arches and all the greenery was everything we wanted in a venue. It went perfectly with our classic and timeless looks

What colors did you choose and how did you decide?
I chose black for the classic and timeless look

Tell me about some of your favorite wedding details and how you came up with them!
I loved our cakes LOL they described us each perfectly and I loved the donkeys

Tell us about your food and cake - if you didn't have a traditional wedding cake, why not, and what did you have instead?
Our wedding cake was a strawberry cake with traditional strawberry filings and a cream cheese buttercream icing and Alec's groom cake was a grandma chocolate sheet cake with chocolate chunks, caramel cream cheese frosting. They were both SO good

What was your absolute favorite part of the day? Does your spouse have a different favorite?
The whole thing was my favorite part, just loved being in one place with most of our friends and family members

Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you rather have done it differently? Tell me why or why not!
No we said goodbye at our rehearsal dinner the night before and didn't see each other until walking down the aisle

Any advice for those couples planning their wedding now?
