if you missed my long sappy post on FB, then i’ll give you the cliff notes version; galveston is absolutely one of my happy places. i was raised in the coast waters, grew up watching my sister dancing in the gulfs waves, spent summers sipping coke floats at la kings, probably stayed at every hotel up and down the sea wall. i don’t need a GPS to get there, and don’t need GPS once im there. all of that aside, i’ve NEVER taken my kids there.
when cara and i first spoke about her wedding, and she mentioned that she lived in houston and garrett worked in galveston - i knew it was in the cards for me to make a trip down interstate 45.
in ALL of the milliions of trips that i’ve down to galveston, i’ve NEVER been to galveston state park. so when cara suggested it, i jumped on it! it was SO peaceful, serene, calm and just breathtakingly gorgeous.
cara and garrett’s love is that one in a million kind of love. that nicholas sparks novel kind of love, and it was an honor to document it! i can’t wait to share their wedding images with you!
